At Hotel Dos Aguas, life slows down.

Tucked away in a lush tropical garden, yet only a short walk from the beach and the centre of Sámara, our small adults-only hotel offers space to breathe, relax and reconnect with nature – in the heart of Costa Rica’s Blue Zone.

Hotel Dos Aguas follows a simple philosophy: less noise, more nature. You won’t find a restaurant, room service or the formal atmosphere of a large hotel here. Instead, you’ll find peace, greenery and a warm, easy-going environment where you can truly slow down and feel at home.

Our guests can enjoy inviting communal spaces, including a spacious outdoor kitchen, a cosy lounge for meals and conversations, and a refreshing pool surrounded by tropical greenery.

Hotel Dos Aguas is a small, personally run hotel rather than a traditional hotel with a reception desk staffed around the clock. I may not always be sitting behind a front desk, but I am never far away and am happy to help whenever you need me. Because I live here and know the area well, I can share personal recommendations for beaches, restaurants, activities and some of the quieter places that are easy to miss.

Behind this little oasis is me – Daniela, a creative soul from Austria. After many years of travelling, I made Sámara my home in 2018. I speak German, English, Spanish and Hungarian, and I love sharing my passion for this beautiful region. As the proud mother of two grown daughters and a lover of gardens, sunsets and animals, I simply want my guests to experience what I love most about this place: peace, warmth and a genuine sense of home.
