Our family managed, small hotel (8 rooms), is located at the entrance to Samara. It is a place for nature lovers and peace seekers. Surrounded by a tropical garden with a beautiful pool, it is the ideal place to relax from the stress of everyday life.
Shops, restaurants and beach are in the immediate vicinity. Sámara is a great place to visit and for many an even better place to return. Thanks to the many restaurants, tourist amenities, and authentic Costa Rican vibe, Playa Samara seems to create fans more than just host visitors.
A great location for naturelovers, beach bums and beginning surfer!
Getting around
You don't need a car here, everything is within walking distance. In the immediate vicinity there is a Mexican restaurant and a Tappas bar. In the place there are organizers of trips to the near or far. You can also borrow a bike, motorcycle or quad here.

HOW TO GET HERE
The closest airport is San José International (SJO).
From there, you can take a bus, a taxi or rent a car. It's better to book a flight that arrive in San Jose early afternoon or morning if you want to take a bus.

By Bus
The most economical way to go to Casa Bonita is to take a bus from San José. The company offering a daily bus service is called Empressa Alfaro Ltda. Departure time: 12:00pm and 17pm, arrives in Samara in about 4h30 (it can takes up to 6 hours long, depending on the traffic). A bus will take you to San Jose in 30 minutes, but it's probably better to use a taxi from the airport to the bus station.

By Taxi
The easiest way to go to Casa Bonita is to take a taxi From San José Airport (SJO). The journey will take about 4h30 up to 5h30 depending on the traffic. The cost is between $150 and $250.

By Car
The other option would be to rent a car from the airport, this is relevant if you want to travel around the area.
