Fortunately Samara is paved completely from both the San Jose and Liberia International Airports.

We are roughly 4.5 hours driving distance from the Juan Santamaria Airport in the San Jose area, and 2 hours from the Daniel Oduber Airport in Liberia.

Please keep in mind that Entre Dos Aguas is the very first commercial property when entering Samara. We are on the right side. If you are in the town of Samara, you need to travel away from the beach towards Nicoya to find us.

San Jose

There are daily direct public buses from San Jose that leave at 12pm and 6pm (5 hour trip/$7 per person). There are also shuttles that leave at 8:30am and occasionally 6:30pm (4.5 hour trip/$40/person). Flights are sometimes available to the Carrillo/Samara airport via Nature Air. Entre Dos Aguas can arrange private transportation to pick you up at a time and place of your choosing and bring you directly to our hotel.

Liberia

There are less options for transportation from Liberia, however it is much closer to Samara. The public bus from Liberia to Nicoya drives along the highway that is a roughly 10 minute walk from airport. A chance in Nicoya to a bus to Samara is neccessary. Shuttles are available (2 person minimum) at 10:30am and 4pm. We can also offer private transportation to pick you up when your flight arrives and bring you directly to our hotel.
