Why should I stay at your hotel?

We believe that we offer a great value. The room rate includes, a unique room and shower, free breakfast, taxes, pool, garden, common refrigerator, free coffee and tea, and a relaxing common area with hammocks, rocking chairs and tables for eating and/or games.

How many rooms do you have?

We have seven rooms for rent: two standard rooms, four large rooms and our brand-new tree top suite.

How far are you from the beach and the town?

We are only 3 blocks (300 meters) from the beach, and just 1 block from town. Many people stay at our hotel without their own transportation as all of Samara is within walking distance.

Do you have air conditioning?

No we do not offer any rooms with air conditioning. We do have ceiling fans in all rooms.

I hear it's hot, do I need air conditiioning?

This is a very subjective question. If you are used to air conditioning at home, chances are you will prefer an air-conditioned hotel. However, the majority of our guests report no problems with the temperature of their rooms here.

What is the temperature like?

Obviously this varies throughout the year. There are only two seasons in Costa Rica: rainy season and dry season. The dry season runs from December through April, while the rainy season starts in May and ends in November. While the weather in Samara is hot all year long, generally the hottest months are February and March, when temperatures can reach up to 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit).

Do you offer discounts for long term stays?

We do not offer any discounts during the high season (December through April). You can ask us about a discount during other time periods.

Do you have any animals? I'm allergic.

Yes, we have both dogs and cats. We have never had a complaint about allergies as the animals all live outside.

What time is check in and check out?

We don't have a set check in time. You're welcome to arrive as early as you would like and leave your belongings with us if you want to use our premises or go off on your own. Check out is at 11am. You're more than welcome to stay longer, but we need to have the room available for cleaning by then.

What do you serve for breakfast?

Every room gets a plate of fruit, with a choice of eggs (fried or scrambled), homemade granola with yogurt, or corn flakes. You will also receive toast, jam and unlimited coffee and tea with your meal.

Do you serve any other meals?

We do not serve any meals other than breakfast, however we can arrange for you to have a private grilled meal made for you on the premises.

Do you serve drinks?

We have a self-serve refrigerator available at all times to our guests. The refrigerator is stocked a variety of beers, soft drinks, juices and bottled water.
